1. Define Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.

2. Define Freedom: The power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.

3. The Constitution of the United States: Ratified on September 17, 1787. Although the original constitution does account for future amendments, they are not written here in the original constitution or is anything written regarding inalienable rights to the citizens of the USA. Although this is a minor detail since they were added shortly thereafter, the original constitution only addressed the organization of the government and not the rights of the people for whom the government works. I constantly hear people questioning and complaining about the government and the fact that they are not doing their job.

4. As the employer, you should know what your employee handbook consists of and what is expected of your employees. Your employee handbook is the constitution of the United States.

5. As an employer, how long would you allow an employee to continue to under-perform their duties before replacing that employee? According to the constitution, we (as the employer) are to give the President 4 years, and members of the Senate every 6 years and members of Congress every 2 years before we can fire and replace them. Is this what would be allowed in your business if you were running a fortune 500 company?

6. As an employer, would you allow your employees to decide on their own pay without your input? As CEO (President), COO (Vice President), Directors (Senate & Congress), should they not be hired and paid at the discretion of the Board of Directors (We The People)? I can’t understand why we have lifetime Directors when they are under-performing in their job duties. How are they becoming independently wealthy and “above” they law when their Board of Directors are suffering daily? How can their lifestyle and their income be higher than their “pay”? Why do WE continue to keep them employed? If we decide to let them go or “Fire” them, why are we going to pay them more to retire than most average Americans make annually? Ask yourself why our country continues to operate in the red. Are you going to make more in retirement than you make working 40-50 hours per week?

Many have defined insanity as continuing to do the same thing over and over again while expecting different results. This reminds me of how we seem to be running The United States of America these days. We continue to elect or re-elect “politicians” to office based on the same promises, speeches, blame game, excuses and hope as we did 2, 4 or 6 years ago. When will “We The People” wake up and realize that a politician is just that, a POLITICIAN. Although, I truly believe that some people run for office with the best intentions, once they get elected to office, they become so enticed by the power and money that they forget about the people they promised to watch out for and protect. All members of the government work for the people and are put into the position of power by the people. That power is theirs and first and foremost needs to be focused on protecting and caring for the people of the USA.

We can’t be naive when it comes to living and existing in a world economy and as a world nation. However; we also can’t become the world’s savior or police if we don’t save and police ourselves first. We are and will always be a nation of immigrants. We should always welcome immigration, as long as that is legal immigration. The only problem with trying to immigrate into our country legally is the length of time it takes just waiting at the border for a hearing or to be heard. I think we could probably create more than a few jobs here just in border patrol and immigration to speed up the immigration process. It might even prevent some of the illegal immigration problem. Illegal immigration started when white men came over and began stealing land from Native Americans. It wasn’t right then and it isn’t right now. If we don’t learn from those past mistakes, it will only happen again, only this time it will be the American Nation being kicked out, just like the Native Americans were killed and moved aside then. INSANITY.

This is not the only issue facing our nation today. Our nation has several issues that need to be addressed before it is too late. It seems, however, that the issues that we see on an everyday basis aren’t seen by those we put into public office. Or, maybe these issues just aren’t as important to them as they seem to be to us. We, as a nation of free people need to stand up to the powers that be at the election polls. I do not believe it is good enough to just vote in another candidate to replace the ones that are not doing what they were elected to do in the first place. Again, it is the definition of insanity. We have continued to elect politicians to office with the same results. I do not believe we will see a real difference in results until we stand up as a nation and say enough is enough. We must do something to make everyone take notice and just replacing one politician with another is not enough to make EVERYONE take notice.

We elected someone president who was obviously under-qualified. Although I do not think any two people will agree with what kind of job he has done so far as president, I think everyone can agree that he is a very polarizing president. I am not trying to make a case for whether or not I think he has done a good job, but I think it is obvious that the country is more divided now than it ever has been. I sincerely thought his being elected president would have been enough to tell people that something had to change. However; it has done the exact opposite. Both those opposed to and supportive of his presidency have dug in more deeply than ever before. They all seem to believe that it is better to be divided and fight against the other side than to work together for the betterment of the nation. There has been so much finger pointing going on the last 4 years that it feels like our nation is a nation of elementary school children. The worst part of the whole thing is that it is not just the politicians doing the finger pointing, it is the nation as a whole. I talk with people or see posts on the internet daily, from people that I truly respect, which do nothing but talk negatively about the “opposing side of the aisle”.

This president was supposed to be a business man. I’ve seen him imposing tariffs and fines in an effort to bring those jobs back to America, and while his effort may be in the right place, was his starting point correct? What about all of the internal wastes of money we see from our government. I am not an economics major and I don’t have the time to do all of the research, but someone on his staff should have to look into the wasted spending done by our own government. How much do members of the Senate and House get to use on new furniture every year? How much do they get for meals every year? Why do they get to give themselves raises without our approval (they do work for us)? How much do they get for travel expenses every year? I believe a total audit of every member of the Senate and House needs to be done and they need to be held accountable for every penny they have spent. Their insurance, retirement, security, etc. should be terminated at a certain point after they leave office. There should be term limits on both the Senate and House so they can’t get rich off of the people. If they truly want to “serve” the people, let them serve their terms and then move on to the corporate world to earn their retirement. I truly believe if an internal audit is done of just our employees in Washington, D.C., we will find enough money to feed the homeless. I’ll even go so far to say that I believe that we can create jobs by doing this. Everyone that wants to work, can work and they will have a home. This is not socialism. This is allowing people to work for a living. Building pride in self and building pride in the nation that allowed them to build a life for themselves and their family. Again, I am not an economics major, but, I believe this is a good place to start.

Once we go through these audits on members of Congress as outlined above, it would be time to audit the last 30 bills passed or emergency funds applied for and granted. Emergency funds should not include a raise for members of the Senate or House, just as an example. These audits can’t be done by those in the government, but by two independent tax firms.

The question is; how do we get the attention of EVERYONE at the election polls in November? I’ve already stated that I don’t think we can do it by just replacing those in office by someone else. It makes me wonder what would happen if every vote cast were for “NO CONFIDENCE OR NONE OF THE ABOVE”? I know it sounds ridiculous as not everyone is going to be willing to do this, it was probably the plot of a movie and would only end up getting about .05% of the vote if that. As a result, this plan would leave us with the same people in office that we currently have. However; maybe it would make enough commotion to get the attention of EVERYONE and inspire someone who knows a whole lot more than I do, to appear in front of those in power and get them to listen to our concerns. If we don’t do something, nothing will change and we will continue as a nation living in insanity and on the brink of disaster.
